Lunch
03:50
|
|||
Yeah, it’s the last thing you’re thinking as you’re walking right past me
Maybe stopping to watch you're thinking that you're harassing me
A tragedy, here I am trying to catch heat
The last thing available is catching this back beat
Done other things before ha! people have asked me
Why would I waste all my time when I could be crafty?
You can catch me outside playing the back streets
When they say outta time, taking my cash and leaving
Won’t believe rocking harmony steeze, someone better call a medic cause it’s raining on me
Ha ha! just kidding, don’t need to reprieve
I'ma find a nice awning and continue to be
So see how I’m rocking the hat or bucket take a couple ones or fives
Crumple 'em up, chuck it, done it
I’ve been down this road a couple of times
And you’ll find that I’m
I’m just trying to get some lunch
Just trying to get a little lunch baby
No I ain’t looking for that whole damn pie
Just need a little bit of lunch
I’m talking number 35 from my favorite Chine
And if you’re getting Leonardo’s, better get a bigger size
Cause you know that this music is a means to an end
But damn, what could end better than some Sneakers and friends?
I know I sound like a crazy man, amazing playing gravy man
Making waves that make the ways un-phazing and
I’ll be taking all the gazing fans
Taking all of their dollars to ball inside the land of the skinny pan-
Cake, hot damn gimme a break
I need to stuff up my face, need a Halverson’s steak
I need to buff up my plate, someone get on the bass
So we can make a better band, get ourselves better paid
But wait, didn’t I say I ain’t about the cash
Got me there but dumplings sure are breaking me fast
So I hate to have to ask do you like it when I rap?
And do you got a dollar?
Cause I’m just trying to get some lunch
Just trying to get a little lunch baby
No I ain’t looking for that whole damn pie
Just need a little bit of lunch
Stop by and say hi, come over to my side
Songs for food, I’ma do it any way I
See to be the reason keeping under a spell
Thunder and hell couldn’t keep me under-fulfilled, oh well
I’m a tall guy, taking the fall fine
Don’t call it a comeback, call it a good time, I would shine
With a little light to inspire
Turns out that the light is inside the entire me
Make believe or agree I be dreaming of me
Playing songs off the street and even seeing a fee
And if I’m seeing a fee hot damn I can feed the grumble in my stomach
That’s all I need
But for now I’ma try and inspire
Maybe sing a couple songs that require a quire
And if a quire is hired, it’s dire I pay the bunch
Damn,
I’m just looking for some lunch
Just need a little bit of lunch baby
No I ain’t looking for that whole damn pie
Just need a little bit of lunch
I’m just looking for some lunch
Just trying to get a little lunch baby
No I ain’t looking for that whole damn pie
Just need a little bit of lunch
Just need a little bit of lunch
I’m talking little bit of lunch
Just need a little bit of lunch you know?
Just need a little bit of lunch

Gold
04:19
|
|||
Burn down the walls that hold you
In the foreground of what’s broken here today
Turn down the thralls that mold you
Forget them ‘cause you are not the same
Wash away the soils of your shame
Go upon the road that’s open
Seize that moment that lies here today
Don’t hide the soul that’s woken
Take down all that stands there in your way
Break the walls that hold you in your cage
Know that your time is wanted
Though you may not feel that way today
Go with your life undaunted
Have no fear ‘cause it’s all just a game
Sing that song that swells behind your name
Well beauty don’t need reason to be what you are keeping
Nor what you believe in, you are gold all the way
Well there ain’t no need for leaving just for a bad feeling
It is love that you are needing, you are gold all the way
Hold that one last trait that makes you
Squeeze it tight until it makes you sane
Fold open the crease that suffocates you
Smooth away the divots of your pain
Allow your soul to shine upon the day
Well beauty don’t need reason to be what you are keeping
Nor what you believe in, you are gold all the way
Well there ain’t no need for leaving just for a bad feeling
It is love that you are needing, you are gold all the way

The Age of Aching Eyes
03:25
|
|||
We’re all suckers to expectation
Never taking our own advice
Feeding in to our own frustration
Focusing on what’s out of sight
Always leaving ourselves to be
Lingering online
Ever seeking some company
Our phones hold it inside
What’s the need for contemplation?
Focusing on the light
Feeling part of a conversation
When you’re alone at night
Ever needing a world that’s free
From all the everyday life
Never needing no company
Our phones hold it inside
Oooo wasting all our lives away to a device
Oooo taking up the time that makes us use our minds
Oooo making our design, creating the decline
Oooo a way that we can hide, the age of aching eyes
We’re all seeking that good sensation
That comes along with a like
We achieve that validation
Ever growing our appetite
It all falls to who competes
Every day is a trial
What walls have we conceived?
The modern world of denial
Oooo wasting all our lives away to a device
Oooo taking up the time that makes us use our minds
Oooo making our design, creating the decline
Oooo a way that we can hide, the age of aching eyes

Bright Believers
04:43
|
|||
Bright believers in the night
Finding hope through starry skies
All the needs of the week and the weight of the world has its way of defeat
But it’s only when it’s light
Broken dreamers taking flight
See that glimmering shimmer in their eye
All the things that are sweet while the rest of the world are all falling asleep
It’s this moment that is alive
And for a moment, it seems time is standing still
But it’s just the shadows from the ever motionless lights
All the days that fade the night will be forgiving in its love
Giving what always shines a chance to go on hidden, only
Those who make the night their day can ever fade to its escape
Making what’s always been seem better
The faceless revolving of time
Stifled streamers in the sky
Call the wind to the sheets that’ll fly
All the things that’ll make every night feel like it’s an escape
When it’s just the day’s divide
Darkened dreamers free and high
Hiding their lives in plain sight
Making all the mistakes they’ve made in the past but it all looks the same
When it’s just the days goodbye
And for a moment, it seems there is something new
But it’s just the brush with the edging evasion of truth
All the days that fade the night will be forgiving in its love
Giving what always shines a chance to go on hidden, only
Those who make the night their day can ever fade to its escape
Making what’s always been seem better
The faceless revolving of time
As long as there’s drink for the dreamers
As long as there’s night
As long as there’s hope for believers
As long as there’s pride
As long as there’s work for the healers
As long as there’s time
As long as there’s room for relievers
As long as there’s life
As long as there’s drink for the dreamers
As long as there’s night
As long as there’s hope for believers
As long as there’s pride
As long as there’s work for the healers
As long as there’s time
As long as there’s room for relievers
As long as there’s life
All the days that fade the night will be forgiving in its love
Giving what always shines a chance to go on hidden, only
Those who make the night their day can ever fade to its escape
Making what’s always been seem better
The faceless revolving of time

Song of the Dead
04:06
|
|||
had to choke down the words that came to me
Put my faith in saving face, a pause to stop and breathe
Get it along, take a look at your faith now
What you think is stopping me is only making me strong
But you can’t have false opinions on what you feel is fact
And your halls of repetition are all filled with spider cracks
I had been waiting to take my precious side
The wailing way of wasted words all wash out from your mind
Making the fall, or what you think is a stand, yeah
The crashing down of ignorance, a wave to waste it all
But you need to have a conscience to walk the devil’s plane
Cause the one’s who can’t make choices must all suffer in his name
Done for the day and all is forgiven
Done for the day now turn out the light
It’s a song for the dead sung by the living
Done in the day and done in the night
I had to walk on from the lonesome highway
One last ride I cannot take I’ll make it on my own
Making the most of what may be the least, yeah
Ring out one last dinner bell so vultures can find home
But they can only take the outside, chew on brazen bone
Cause the soul of what was once there will forever carry on
Done for the day and all is forgiven
Done for the day now turn out the light
It’s a song for the dead sung by the living
Done in the day and done in the night
Done for the day and all is forgiven
Done for the day now turn out the light
It’s a song for the dead sung by the living
Done in the day and done in the night
Well I’m done for the day and all is forgiven
Done for the day and done in the night
It’s a song for the dead sung by the living
And I’m done in the day so turn out the light

Baby Blues
03:59
|
|||
She my baby, but she don’t know if she loves me
She my baby, but she don’t know if she loves me
I’ve been spending all my time trying to give her all my loving
But I don’t think that it’s what she needs
No no no
She my woman, but I may not be her only man
She my woman, but I may not be her only man
I’ve been waiting all night for her to come on home
But it seems she got other plans
Well now my baby says she wants to spend some time
So I take her out to dinner, buy her favorite wine
I’m like “ain’t this great?”
She like “yeah I guess it’s fine”
Woman what am I supposed to do to keep you satisfied?
She my baby, but she don’t know if she loves me
I’ve been spending all my time trying to show her all my loving
But I don’t that she can see
No no no
She my baby, but I don’t think that she loves me
She my baby, but I don’t think that she loves me
I’ve been spending all my time trying to give her all my loving
But I don’t think that it’s meant to be

802 Daydream
03:33
|
|||
Good night Queen City
Time to put those Adirondacks to bed
And though your light is so pretty
Behind me my path lays ahead
Well it was one hell of a skate
To the park that’s by the lake
The waterfront there never leaves me dry
And one never regrets seeing that Burlington sunset
It was the perfect place to pass the time
Well we sat there in a daze
Watched the blue lights burn away
Couldn’t keep our gaze off that sacred sky
Splitting at the seams in an 802 daydream
We watched those crimson clouds fade black into night
So good night Queen City
Time to put those Adirondacks to bed
And though your light is so pretty
Behind me my path lays ahead
Disappeared days of these memories
Of what was golden, future’s open
Take on the face of our destiny
Here’s to hoping we keep on rolling
Well we rolled back up to Hattie’s
Zero gravs after the fattie
Then we fumbled into that faded night
The last thing I remember, it was a Dead Set down at Nectar’s
And they were cooking up on Attics of my Life
Well I woke up from my daydream
As the thoughts of you were fading
I still laid under that rainbow sky
The shadows they had grown
As I sat there all alone
The aftertaste of you remained for the night
So good night Queen City
Time to put those Adirondacks to bed
And though your light is so pretty
Behind me my path lays ahead
Good night Queen City
Time to put those Adirondacks to bed
And though your light is so pretty
Behind me my path lays ahead
Behind me my path lays ahead
I said behind me my path lays ahead

Growing
02:28
|
|||
Well I’m done wishing, built up superstition
Gonna leave things as they be
Making my home out of memories seems so much
A waste of time to me
Find me phasing out my ways I must allow
My past to be a dream
And I’ll be forced to shout this heart’s done wearing out
I will not watch it bleed
Love is raw and love is honest
But love can bring agony
For all its faults, its strength can break down walls
Those walls can hold the sorrow’s seeds
Find me leaving town, I won’t look back I’ve found
Running will make me free
But running from my past won’t stop the pains that last
Now I can finally see
Trying to decide which words they said were lies
It made no sense to me
Giving my all made no difference at all
It was all just make believe
So I’ll find flowers wilt with time
But that don’t stop the spreading green
Ever growing fast but never going back
Best is yet to be seen
